All are invited to join the Cityview congregation and the Urban Village congregation in a candle-lit carol service on Christmas eve.

Visitors, as always, are welcome. No special wardrobe is required. Just come and soak up some of the peace and cheer of the Christmas season. (That’s what we do).

Do you remember in 2019 when one of the shepherds ad-libbed some surprisingly good Jedi skills? Do you remember 2020’s socially-distanced Christmas nativity play which reminded us that a tough year can really age you? What about 2023’s costumed audience participation storytelling event?

Our Advent series will be looking at waiting. What happens when we wait for God’s hope, peace, joy, and love, and we just don’t experience it? Is there any purpose in waiting? We will explore a theological perspective on waiting and hear from folk in our community who have a practical perspective and knowledge of waiting on God

We will celebrate the third Sunday in Advent with the lighting of the Joy candle. Please join us for service in-person to mark the start of the season. It will be warm and cozy in the sanctuary, but as always, service will also be streamed live on our YouTube channel at 10am PST.

OpenTable’s Christmas Celebration will be on Saturday, December 14th at Noon.

Please join us in the main Church hall for good music and good food! Bring your friends, your neighbours, and your kids. Everyone is welcome.

During our Blue Christmas Service we reflect and remember the people we miss dreadfully , while exploring how Jesus is with us in our grief and sadness. Cityview regulars and newcomers are welcome to attend in person and seek some solace. Please consider inviting friends who may appreciate this special service focusing on the needs of all who mourn.

The Seed-to-Sky Garden Club meets in the Lower Hall and expertly maintains the community garden in our parking lot. The Garden Club welcomes Cityview’s plant enthusiasts and the general public to join them in their program of ongoing learning.

Guest speaker: Stan Manson, Seed to Sky member/vegetable gardener extraordinaire/retired chef. 

Topic: Stan will share what vegetables grow successfully in our local area and what strategies he uses to maximize success.
