We aim to be a Christ-centered community by Looking:
UP - committed to growing an intimate relationship with the Living God through organic, creative, and Spirit-filled worship and prayer,
IN - devoted to growing authentic relationships by loving, caring for, and discipling one another, and
OUT - dedicated to growing life-changing relationships with our wider community by sharing and showing our love of Jesus to all people.
What to expect
Sunday Gatherings are a special time for Cityview. Together, we seek to connect with the heart of God. Together, we open our hearts and minds to what God might want to teach us. Together, we celebrate what God has been doing in individual lives as we've gone about our business during the week.
Our congregation’s style of dress tends to be pretty casual. Please wear whatever feels comfortable for you. When you arrive on Sunday morning, come in the main doors and choose a seat anywhere in the Sanctuary.
Our Sunday services include singing, a sermon, prayer and time for socializing, but we want it to be more than that too. As we pursue God, worship and learning becomes a meaningful time of personal interaction with God. God is revealed to us through the Word and we, in turn, respond with love, praise, and a deep desire to know and follow God.
As you leave the building on Sunday, our hope is that you know there is a place for you at Cityview. You may have many more questions. That's ok! In fact, that's fantastic! This means you're thinking. No matter where you come from or what's in your story, we invite you to keep joining us in this thing of following Jesus.
On Sundays at Cityview, the atmosphere is always relaxed, and the warmth of friends, new and old, is always felt. Everyone is welcome. We hope you'll come check it out!
CITYVIEW’S ” WORD” FOR 2023 IS “MORE!”
In reflecting back over last year of the blessings Cityview received, NONE of them were by our striving, or by our DOING MORE. God blessed us as promised, and all God wants for us is to hunger and thirst more for a deeper relationship with God. We pray as a group for more sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's voice and to come alongside God’s work, rather than striving on our own terms. We endeavor to trust that God’s plan and God’s timing are best.

Through the grace of God, Cityview somehow became a place full of creative folks. No wonder creativity ended up as one of our values. In our everyday lives we are trades-people, home-makers, teachers, learners, accountants, scientists, engineers, retirees, and health care providers. But on Sundays, the amateur (and occasional professional) musicians, poets, writers, fibre artists, photographers, gardeners, and painters of Cityview keep us alive to the beauty of the world around us.
