Calling All Artists!

For the coming Easter season, we would like to engage Cityview Creativity in an interpretation and fresh experience of the Stations of the Cross. For this first meeting, all interested people are welcome to come along and learn more about the project!

Interested artists will meet for an in-depth study of the Stations of the Cross in Fall 2023. Each artist will choose a particular station and interpret it in their chosen art form, for example:

• Songwriting/Composing

• Poetry

• Visual arts (painting, sketching, calligraphy, collage, etc)

• Textile arts

• Sculpture

Project Schedule:

Nov. 4, 2023 - First meeting and group discussion/study.

(Nov 18 - Artists are meeting anyways for Land Acknowledgement session)

Dec 3, 2023 - Check-in, sharing

Jan 13, 2024 - Check-in, sharing

Feb 10, 2024 - Check-in, sharing

Mar 9, 2024 - Final review of pieces and plan installation/shape of service
