PASTOr
LEAD PASTOR
TREVOR JOSH, M. DIV.
Trevor grew up in Gravesend in England playing soccer and generally getting into trouble. He came to faith at the age of 21. For the next 17 years Trevor was busy building a successful career working as a sales manager with a UK bank when he felt a call to become a pastor that he just could not ignore. He and his wife (Linda) and their four children (Amy, Hannah, Sam, and Bethany) all moved to Vancouver where he completed a Master of Divinity degree at Regent College. He has a particular interest in how our faith in Jesus can be lived out in the everyday and within intentional communities.
Trevor has been Cityview's Lead Pastor since 2012. Trevor's pastoral goals have always been pretty straightforward. He aims to share and show the love of Jesus to anyone he comes across and tries to help those around him grow in their faith to become the people they were born to be.
You can reach Trevor by talking to him after service on any Sunday morning or by emailing him.
Support Leadership Team (SLT)
Along with our Pastor, the SLT is Cityview’s leadership team. Leaders are volunteers from the congregation and are voted-in by church members. The SLT looks after the administrative tasks of the church, makes sure the physical grounds and building are maintained, is involved in longer term planning, and keeps an eye out for unmet spiritual and physical needs of the congregation and the wider community. They can all be contacted through the church office. The current SLT is:
Tanya’s most amazing quality is her patience. In her downtime, she knits beautiful things and plays board games with anyone and everyone.
Kristen is one of our resident scientists. She keeps the finances organized, and also maintains a very useful collection of power tools and random stuff that’s useful for summer Kids Camps.
Emily appears happiest when raking leaves and cutting grass. Her favourite part of Sunday services is being surrounded by the Cityview congregation “choir” during worship.
Steven is thoughtful and really good at asking the important questions. He takes good pictures. He rarely gets distracted in the middle of a project despite living with several humans and a rabbit.
Laura has solid note-taking skills, but more than that, she listens closely and pays attention to people. Need the advice of an experienced parent? Laura is your go-to person.
Barry is a talented cook and is one of the caring volunteers who make sure that no one goes hungry on Thursdays at OpenTable. When he's not in the kitchen, Barry and his dogs are often spotted walking around neighborhood parks.
MINISTRY TEAM
The volunteer ministry team is made up of members of the congregation. They can all be contacted through the church office. The current ministry team is:
Daphne is another of Cityview’s resident scientists and caregivers. She often reminds us to seek peace through prayer.
Frank is a thoughtful author and caring grandfather. He is a lifelong learner and never shies away from theological inquiry.
Jeff is the Compassion Ministry Coordinator and keeps OpenTable running. He is truly interested in people and their stories. There is a reason he is the bouncing Easter Bunny every Spring.
